Curt directed the layout and all content which was then perfected and polished by the award-winning designer Nancy Stem of SF Design and Fresco Books. The first half of the book is a biography that details Walters' life, travels, and work, woven into one narrative that balances humor, tragedy, and awe into a heartfelt true story. The second half exists solely to pay reverence to the Grand Canyon's winding trails, the majestic Colorado River, and the interactions of the four seasons on that mighty landscape. Included is an interlude written by Alan Peterson, concerning the history of Grand Canyon art and
artists that influenced Curt.
