Blooming Flowers in My Garden

A Holocaust survivor, Nika Kohn Fleissig arrived in the United States in 1946. She studied at the Art Students League and with noted painters in Cape Cod and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Her work represents her fascination with how colors shift in changing light.

In her nineties she moved to Sedona to live near her daughter. She explored computer generated art and continued painting. Over the years her art was a great factor in her healing and in creating sense and order after the darkness of the war years.
